Jim Kuiphof

Jim Kuiphof, MSIA, is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and head of the Cyber Fusion Center of Corewell Health. Corewell Health was formed by the coming together of Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health in 2022. As the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, Jim has responsibility for the design, implementation, and operations of the enterprise wide information security program. As the head of the Cyber Fusion Center, Jim is accountable for all aspects of the cyber resilience of Corewell Health divisions including business engagement, attack surface management, threat intelligence, threat response, defense, and forensics.

Prior to his current Corewell Health role, Jim serves as the Director of Information Security responsible for security architecture, portfolio management, cyber resilience and response, and digital identity. Before joining Spectrum Health in 2015, Jim served as the Director of Information Security governance at Johnson Controls where he was responsible for information security program governance and a multi-year $100 million transformation program.

Jim has nearly 20 years of information security experience in various roles and in various industries. He holds degrees in information systems and information assurance. His work experience includes publishing, manufacturing, property and liability insurance, health care, and health insurance. He is a student of good leaders and strives to be a mentor and roll model of compassionate, servant leadership.

Joseph "Augie" D'Agostino

Augie D’Agostino is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at University of Washington Medicine. The UW Medicine Security Program supports the hospital delivery system, school of medicine (SOM), medical research, and airlift northwest. His career in information technology spans over twenty-five years. He has gained experience in a variety of leadership roles in cyber security, governance, risk, and compliance over the last two decades and has focused solely on healthcare for eight years. His most recent formal training was at Carnegie Mellon-Heinz College where he received a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Executive Certificate.

Augie believes at the foundation of every successful security program exists a security aware culture that embraces a “brilliant at the basics” approach to information technology.  In healthcare especially, you need everyone to be a member of your security team to be successful. He has a passion for mentoring, training, developing, and enabling others to see the “bigger picture” while working towards positive outcomes. He feels both a personal and professional sense of purpose working in the healthcare industry and appreciates being part of an organization that has a mission “to improve the health of the public.”

With nearly two decades in Healthcare Emergency Management Mark’s passion is helping organizations achieve their goals by managing every disruption with grace and efficiency. Mark has been recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Healthcare Emergency Management by his peers, but he has also developed a highly-effective skillset fostering business continuity for all kinds of businesses.

Some of his noteworthy achievements include: serving as the incident commander for hundreds of real life incidents, teaching at the Center for Domestic Preparedness, and the design, implementation, and daily leadership of the West Michigan Vaccine Clinic, which was the highest volume vaccine clinic in the US during COVID. Residing in Caledonia, MI, with his wife Kelly, Mark cherishes moments spent with his amazing wife, their two children, Jonah and Elliana and their dog Lulu.
